ActAs Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of ActAs: the website at actas.dev, the ActAs web app, API and command-line tool, and email for the domains you connect to it (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by BRAIN TRUST PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN 202416698H), whose registered office is at 230 Compassvale Walk, #14-420, Singapore 540230, trading as Fray ("ActAs", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What ActAs is

ActAs gives software agents that you operate ("Agents") persistent identities. Each identity can have an email address on a domain you own and connect to ActAs, saved accounts, credentials and other secrets, and scoped, revocable access for the Agent connections you create. ActAs doesn't run your Agents or any AI model. You decide what your Agents do. ActAs stores data and releases it to the Agent connections you authorise.

2. For businesses and developers only

  • The Service is offered only for business and professional use: by companies, organisations, and individuals acting for their trade, business or profession, such as developers building or running Agents. It isn't offered to consumers for personal, family or household use. By creating an account, you confirm that you're using the Service for these purposes.
  • If you sign up for an organisation, you confirm you can bind it, and "you" means that organisation.
  • You must be at least 18.
  • Give accurate sign-up and billing information and keep it current. Keep your sign-in email account secure. You're responsible for everything done through your account and through every Agent connection, API credential or connection file you create.
  • Tell us promptly at security@actas.dev if you believe your account or a credential has been compromised.

3. You are responsible for your Agents

  • Your Agents act for you. Anything an Agent does through the Service, including email it sends or receives, accounts it creates or signs into, and data it retrieves, is treated as done by you. You're responsible for it as if you had done it yourself.
  • Supervise them. Set appropriate limits for your Agents, monitor what they do, and revoke access when something goes wrong. Revocation stops future access through ActAs. It doesn't recall data already released, email already sent, or sessions an Agent has already opened on other services.
  • Other services' rules apply. Many websites restrict automated accounts, bots or shared credentials. You must have the right to create and use each account your Agent holds, and you must follow each service's terms. ActAs doesn't check this for you and doesn't promise that any website will accept your Agent.
  • Human steps stay human. Don't use the Service to bypass a requirement for a real person to act, such as identity checks, KYC, signatures, or legal or financial approvals.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service, or let an Agent use it, to:

  1. Impersonate a real person or organisation. An ActAs identity is an identity for an Agent. It isn't a person and isn't verified identity. Don't use an ActAs identity, its name or its email address to pose as a real person or organisation without their authorisation, or to make anyone believe they're dealing with a human where the law requires you to disclose that they're dealing with an automated system.
  2. Send spam or bulk mail: unsolicited commercial or marketing email, email to purchased, rented or scraped lists, or mail that breaks anti-spam law (such as Singapore's Spam Control Act, the US CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's CASL, or EU and UK e-privacy rules). ActAs email is for an Agent's own one-to-one and transactional mail.
  3. Phish or commit fraud: collect credentials, payment details or personal data from people who haven't agreed, send deceptive links or attachments, or pretend to be another service.
  4. Create fake or bulk accounts to manipulate reviews, votes, promotions, referral schemes, free trials or rankings, or to get around another service's bans or limits.
  5. Defeat access controls of another service, such as CAPTCHAs, rate limits or paywalls, in breach of its terms or the law.
  6. Send or store malware, or material that's illegal, infringes others' rights, sexually exploits minors, or harasses, threatens or defames anyone.
  7. Probe, overload or attack the Service or other customers' data, or get around our limits, quotas or security. Good-faith security research under section 13 is allowed.
  8. Resell the Service or give third parties access to it as a standalone email, identity or credential service without our written agreement.
  9. Use the Service where sanctions or export laws forbid it. You confirm that you aren't in a country, and aren't a person, subject to comprehensive sanctions that apply to us or our payment providers.

Limits. Pro includes 10 active identities and 5,000 stored incoming emails per UTC calendar month, as shown on our pricing page. When you reach the email limit, further incoming mail is not stored and cannot be recovered. The allowance resets at the start of the next UTC calendar month. There is no metered overage. The app shows an upgrade-options prompt; larger public plans are not available at launch. For mail that is not stored, our email provider attempts a delivery-failure bounce where safe to do so. General outbound Agent email is not available at launch.

5. Your content

"Your Content" means data you or your Agents put into or receive through the Service, including email, saved accounts, credentials, secrets, identity profile data and files.

  • You keep all rights in Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display it only to provide, secure and support the Service for you, and as the law requires.
  • We don't sell Your Content and we don't use it to train AI models.
  • You must have the right to put Your Content into the Service, including personal data about other people, such as people who email your Agents. For personal data in Your Content, you're the controller and we act on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Your domain. Agent email addresses use a domain you connect. You must own or control that domain, and you're responsible for its registration and DNS. While it's connected and verified to your workspace, no other ActAs customer can use it. If you disconnect it, or its DNS no longer points to us, mail to it stops reaching ActAs. We never reassign a deleted address to another identity anywhere in ActAs, even if the domain later moves to someone else. We can't control where its new owner receives mail outside ActAs.

6. Price, payment and Link

  • Price. ActAs Pro costs US$12 per month or US$120 per year, plus applicable taxes. Your plan's inclusions are shown on our pricing page. Checkout shows the price in your local currency where available, the taxes and the total before you pay. We may also offer complimentary plans on the terms we tell you.
  • Payments are processed by Link. Purchases are processed by Stripe's affiliate Sold through Link, LLC ("Link"), which acts as merchant of record for your payment. Your checkout, receipts and invoices come from Link. Link's own terms apply to the payment transaction itself. These Terms govern the Service. Link's terms and its refund policy are at support.link.com.
  • Automatic renewal. Your subscription starts when you pay and renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. Link charges your saved payment method on each renewal date. Link sends receipts and, for yearly plans, a reminder before renewal.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your ActAs account settings, or in your Link account at link.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. It takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep the Service until then.
  • Refunds. Fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund, or where Link's refund policy provides one (for example, an unauthorised or duplicate charge, or a service that's significantly not as described). Where Link's refund policy is more generous than these Terms, Link's policy applies.
  • Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. Link, as merchant of record, calculates and collects any sales tax, VAT or GST it is required to collect, and shows it at checkout and on your receipt. BRAIN TRUST PRIVATE LIMITED isn't registered for Singapore GST, so we don't charge Singapore GST and no GST registration number appears on our invoices. If that changes, we'll update these Terms and tell you before any GST is charged.
  • Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change. It applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.

7. If a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, Link will retry it and we'll tell you. While the payment remains overdue:

  • Your data stays readable and exportable. You can still sign in, read your identities, mail, saved accounts and other content, and export it.
  • Your Agents can still read. Existing Agent connections keep read access to your content.
  • New creation is blocked. You can't create new identities, email addresses, Agent connections, saved accounts or other new resources.
  • Mail keeps arriving for 7 days. Email to your addresses continues to be received for 7 days after the payment first failed. After that, new incoming mail is refused. Where we can safely do so, we let the sender know with a bounce message, but not every sender will be told (for example, bulk and mailing-list mail isn't notified). Refused mail isn't stored and can't be recovered.
  • Unpaid accounts may be closed. If the account is still unpaid, we may close it after at least 60 days from when the payment first failed, after the notices below and after checking with our billing provider that the account really is unpaid. We'll email you 7 days and 1 day before it closes. We never close an account that has paid. After closing, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Paying the overdue amount at any point before the account closes restores it straight away.

8. Suspension

  • Immediately, for risk. We may suspend sending, an identity, an Agent connection or your account without notice if we reasonably believe it's needed. That covers:

    • a breach of section 4 by you or an Agent;
    • a risk to the Service, our email reputation, other customers or anyone else;
    • a requirement of the law.

    We'll tell you why unless the law or a security investigation prevents it. We'll restore access once the problem is fixed, where that's reasonable.

  • With notice, for other breaches. For other material breaches, we'll give you notice and 14 days to fix the problem before suspending.
  • Suspension doesn't stop you exporting your data, unless the suspension is for illegal content or the law forbids it.

9. Ending your account

  • By you. You can delete identities, or your whole account, at any time in your account settings. Deleting your account cancels your subscription. How deletion works, and how long it takes, is in our Privacy Policy.
  • By us. We may close your account:

    • for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms;
    • for non-payment as described in section 7;
    • if we stop offering the Service. If so, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a chance to export your data, and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
  • Sections 3, 5 (the licence ends except as needed to delete your data), 10 to 12 and 14 survive.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise:

  • that it will be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • that any email will be delivered, including verification codes;
  • that any website will accept your Agent or its accounts;
  • that your Agents will behave as you intend.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data (this doesn't reduce our duty to protect Your Content);
  • we aren't liable for loss caused by your Agents' actions, by other services your Agents use, or by your failure to keep credentials secure or to revoke access;
  • each party's total liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and (b) US$100.

These limits don't apply to:

  • your payment obligations;
  • your indemnity in section 12;
  • a party's fraud;
  • liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Indemnity

You'll defend and compensate us against third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs, arising from:

  • Your Content;
  • your Agents' actions, including email they send;
  • your breach of these Terms or the law.

We'll tell you promptly about any claim and let you control the defence. You won't settle a claim in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent.

13. Security research and notices

Report security issues to security@actas.dev. Good-faith research that avoids other customers' data, privacy harm and service disruption, and gives us reasonable time to fix the problem, isn't a breach of section 4.

We'll send notices to your account email or show them in the app. Send notices to us at support@actas.dev.

14. General

  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, unless the change is required by law or addresses abuse, in which case it can apply sooner. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
  • Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them to an affiliate or a successor to the Service, with notice.
  • Events beyond our control. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including failures of email, payment or network providers we rely on.
  • Whole agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains. A waiver must be in writing. No third party has rights under these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
